'boab' mills; salt,pepper or spice
The 'boab' mill is inspired by the impressive boab trees of northern Australia. Originally made in two colours, green and orange being a metaphor for the deciduous nature of the tree. Orange for the dropped leaves of the dry season and green for the new growth of the wet. Red and blue complement the range. We have selected light coloured timbers such as Huon Pine or sycamore-maple (acer pseudoplatanus) for this mill.
The essence of any mill is the quality of its mechanism and more specifically the grind stones. One requires sufficient teeth to grind smoothly and gullets not too deep or wide that may induce choking. This mill, as with all our spice mills, is fitted with a fine, smooth action, top adjusting ceramic mechanism. Infinitely adjustable from fine to course.
N.B. Remember, as with all mills/grinders, one should always grind clockwise.
The mechanism carries a 25 year warranty.
