"Dalek" salt/pepper spice mill
Could it be a "Dalek"? Partly inspired by the famous "Doctor Who" character indeco's "Dalek" abstraction will have all you "Doctor Who" fans in raptures; and also partly inspired by observing people operating our fully handled mills, thus: they would straddle their index and middle fingers over the top knob and curl the ring finger around the stainless steel handle; and then operate by keeping the top stationary whilst turning the mill's body anti-clockwise (see pictures at bottom of page).
N.B. One is still, effectively, grinding clockwise by this method; as one should.
Furthermore the essence of any mill is in the quality of its mechanism and more specifically the grind stones. One requires sufficient teeth to grind smoothly and gullets not too deep or wide that may induce choking. So you'll enjoy grinding with this unique mill which is fitted with a fine, smooth action, top adjusting ceramic mechanism, infinitely adjustable from fine to coarse.
Adjustment of this semi-handled mill is via high quality red or black Bakelite knobs fitted to the top of these grinders.
The mechanism carries a 25 year warranty .

We prefer to operate this mill by keeping the top stationary whilst turning the body of the mill anti-clockwise. It works very well indeed!
