indeco are pleased to bring you a comprehensive range of Tasmanian designed and made wooden salt/pepper/spice mills and as we all know the essence of any mill is in the quality of its mechanism and more specifically the grindstones. One requires sufficient teeth to grind smoothly and gullets not too deep or wide that may induce choking. At indeco we install only the very best, fine, smooth action, infinitely adjustable mechanisms. And for a smoother action indeco grinders are fitted with a nylon bushed stainless steel spindle guide, as in the image below left.
Our salt/pepper/spice mills are fitted with versatile ceramic mechanisms whilst 'The Pepper Mill' a grinder for the professional cook/chef comes with a hardened steel mechanism. Image above right shows the adjustment mechanism for 'The Pepper Mill'.
Each mill is individually turned and hand finished with a non toxic shellac based polish.
The ceramic mechanism carries a 25 year warranty.

"Dalek" salt/pepper spice mill

This semi-handled mill as with all our spice mills is fitted with a fine, smooth action, top adjusting ceramic mechanism, infinitely adjustable from fine to course. 'boab' mills; salt,pepper or spice
The 'boab' mill is inspired by the impressive boab trees of northern Australia. Originally made in two colours, green and orange being a metaphor for the deciduous nature of the tree. Orange for the dropped leaves of the dry season and green for the new growth of the wet. Red and blue complement the range. We have selected light coloured timbers such as Huon Pine or Sycamore - Maple (acer pseudoplatanus) for this mill. -

This Tasmanian designed and manufactured pepper mill was designed with the professional cook/chef in mind as it uses the same wonderful hard-tempered steel mechanism as our coffee grinder.
