Isn't plastic better than wood for cutting boards?
Wood is superior to plastic for cutting boards. Bacteria such as Salmonella were found to be not recoverable from the surface of wooden boards a short time after they were applied according to the following study: "Food Safety comparing plastic and wood cutting boards."
